Sky and a walk in the clouds of contrails – one that you will remember for the long time.

"Sky-walk" over the clouds and contrails....
Although the Mother Nature is an unquestionable ruler of the sky, we human beings are also leaving behind some footprints up there.
The most common and visible are the condensation trails called shortly “Contrails”.
These “arrow-like” structures are kind of artificial clouds triggered by the exhaust gases from aircraft engines. The byproduct of the combustion process - water vapor - condenses into tiny water droplets forming the mentioned contrails.
If the temperature is cold enough, the water droplets may transform into zillions of microscopic ice crystals.
Depending on the atmospheric conditions, such contrails can either disappear shortly after, or stay visible for long minutes or even hours. The end effect is beautifully visible on the sky – the long, narrow, arrow-like vapor trails giving the whole new shape to the blue sky.
The following sky and clouds photos will take you for the “sky-walk” of contrails.

World of contrails re-shaping the sky....
Frankly, if we forget for a moment the disastrous consequences of these exhaust gases mixed with the vapor on the environment, we may think – what hand created such strikingly beautiful shapes?
To limit the impact of human activity let's go back to the unchallenged creativeness and originality of the nature...
On the left - Gentle hand of Nature shapes the sky in amazing forms and colors "flavored" with stunning tenderness ...

Sky in the city (left).... and in the nature (right). Despite different locations they still make similarly fantastic impressions.
Believe or not, but this picture of the sky was taken on an afternoon in the city. I call it - "Dance of joy"
Sky, clouds and the city....
Daytime sky and clouds in the city are as inspiring as everywhere else.
This is in contrast with the night’s pictures of the city sky when the omnipresent lights pollution practically prevents us from enjoying the always magical beauty of the deep darkness.
Night in the city takes away the sky encrusted with zillions of sparkling stars, Milky Way’s belt melts down with the “universal grayness”, the charm of flickering “lanterns” suspended in the limitless universe is gone…..
Fortunately the day brings back all the visual splendor of the sky. It’s charming beauty once again raises from seemingly “nothingness” of the night offering the “celestial pastures” in all kind of unimaginable shapes.
Isn’t that a miracle that we still have the “native nature” in the city for almost half of the day?
Did you realize that the composition of blocks of concrete, rivers of asphalt and forests of skyscrapers - otherwise we are so proud of, did not do any damage to the sky and clouds?
Well, this obvious truth is rarely recognized by city dwellers.
Probably we just do not expect anymore to see part of the nature in our cities, such thought is already quite foreign to our conscious….
So from now, please try to use every opportunity to look at the city’s sky. And I hope that the Free Sky and Clouds Pictures convinced you that this is a very rewarding pass-time activity.
